Heritage of the saints here on earth

In South Africa September is Heritage month.

You find that many of the diverse cultures will celebrate their heritage and culture throughout the month by dressing in colourful attire, participating in cultural events and taking part in activities that celebrate whence they come from.

All well and good ... what about the bride of Christ?

As a true child of God you have a heritage too ... and an awesome one at that!

We are heirs in the kingdom of our Father and all the perfect, wondrous blessings and gifts that comes with that very position that we have acquired from Jesus ...

... but right here on this earth right now, Abba has made sure to let us know that we have authority and dominion.

How?

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Isa 54:17

Yes, children (his children) are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3

The Hebrew word translated as heritage is nachălâh or נַחֲלָה to properly inherit something, to occupy, patrimony or portion such as a heritage, to inherit, inheritance, possession.

The word-picture depicts Life secured by authority revealed (or of grace)

It is interesting that the word works both ways.

It firstly works in the direction of an heir taking possession and occupation of what has become his by means of a testament or transfer. This is the position of the heirs of the Kingdom of God through Jesus Christ and the finished work of the cross where we take up our positions of authority to have dominion.

Secondly it works in the direction of the Testator finding contentment in His legacy through and in His beneficiaries. This is the very position that Jesus explained will happen when His Spirit is spread abroad in our hearts for Him to rule and find His being through us, never leaving nor forsaking us.

What does your inheritance look like?

Words are weapons. But no weapon formed against you will be successful finds application how? By you condemning it. Wow!

Everything that Jesus paid the price for, is yours. Everything He conquered on the cross is your inheritance and these include the fact that the enemy is under your feet.

It includes the fact that health and wealth and forgiveness and good times and prosperity is available on demand, your demand.

It includes the fact that you have been blessed with ALL, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Jas 1:17

It includes that every curse has been broken. Gal 3:13

It  includes that you are no longer under the law. Gal 3:10

It is a Kingdom of perfection and harmony nestled in love and affection of the One who calls himself merciful and gracious, patient, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth. Exo 34:6, Neh 9:17, Psa 103:8, Joe 2:13, Jon 4:2 ...

That's it.

When can you take up your inheritance?

For you to take up your position is not one day in the bye and bye when you are in heaven. No!

Did not Jesus say? All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore ... Mat 28:18-19 (remember this post?)

When?

Now!

Did not Jesus pray to the Father that As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. Joh 17:18

One day?

No, now!

Did not Jesus tell us exactly how to have dominion in this earth? If I remember well he said in the verses that followed to teach and baptize and in Matthew 10: 8 and Luke 9:2 to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

There won't be anyone sick in heaven. So, you need to apply it now!

Did not Jesus say to speak to the mountain Matthew 17:20; 21:21.

Are those mountains in heaven?

Is it okay to celebrate?

Certainly, Yes!

The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. Psalm 16:6

Did not Jesus say?

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

If ye keep my commandments (the way that He had commanded so that we may command in the same way), ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. Joh 15:8-10

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart. Psalm 119:111
