Our image and likeliness, He said let’s make man to look like Us; to behave
like us; to think like Us; to rule like Us …
He Who said: “I Am that I am”
creatively said let’s make man to be like I AM!

The wordplay in this single verse is mindbogglingly. But lets single out the pictographs to get a better understanding and picture of what Abba is saying here through the prophet Isaiah.
The Hebrew word used for Rock here is צוּר tsûr picturing:
צ: catch; or hook; or latch
וּ: nail; or peg; or secure
ר: the Highest; or head; or person
This the picture we get is: latched onto the security of the Highest.
The Rock from which we are hewn is the Rock of Ages ... the True Secure Foundation ... the Chief Corner-stone ... Jesus!
God's original intent and design for man was to be exactly like Him! Jesus is not an example for us, but an example of us!
Look at the words that follow:
The hole, or Hebrew word maqqebeth from the root word נָקַב nâqab:
נָ: life; or continuation
קַ: mindful; or back of the head; or thinking
ב: house; or tent
The picture we get here is: life mindful of the house. It speaks about fleshly desire and own works with the focus on the house, our carnal desires.
The Hebrew word for digged (old English word for dug) is נָקַר nâqar (note similarity with the word for hole) above :
נָ: life; or continuation
קַ: mindful; or back of the head; or thinking
ר: the Highest; or head; or person
The picture we now get is this: life mindful of the Highest. Can you see? The focus has now shifted from self to God!
When the Spirit of the living God indwells the house instead of the the law that killeth (Rom 8:2), the focus is on Jesus!
We are a chip of the Block, designed for great and wondrous things!
... but God proceeds in Isaiah 51: 2-9 explaining the prophecy that came thrue in Yah'shua, Jesus.
Just look at the word used for salvation in verse 8:
Isa 51:8 ForH3588 the mothH6211 shall eat them upH398 like a garment,H899 and the wormH5580 shall eatH398 them like wool:H6785 but my righteousnessH6666 shall beH1961 for ever,H5769 and my salvationH3444 from generationH1755 to generation.H1755 The word used here for Salvation is יְשׁוּעָה yeshû‛âh. These are the Hebrew letters used to spell out Jesus!
The words used in this brilliant prophetic scripture from verse 1 to 9 are all pointing to Jesus. Righteousness. Salvation. Strength. Arm of YHVH. Trust. Joy. Gladness. Comfort. Rest. Light. ROCK!
So it is only natural for Peter to declare in 1 Peter 2:1-9 (be blessed by the resemblance):
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light
